This work addresses the phenomenon of the development of a patterned surface relief on polymer films via different modes of environmental crazing. Commercial films of semicrystalline poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) and amorphous glassy poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) were subjected to tensile drawing in the presence of physically active liquid environments (carbon tetrachloride or aliphatic alcohols). The structure parameters and wettability of the modified films were studied by AFM, SEM, profilometer measurements and contact angle measurements. Environmental intercrystallite crazing of PTFE is accompanied by the development of an unstable structure with a high free surface, which experiences marked strain recovery upon unloading. As a result of the relief formation, PTFE hydrophobicity is enhanced (the water contact angle increases by 25°). Classical environmental crazing of PET films is accompanied by the formation of an anisotropic surface relief which is an assembly of crazes oriented perpendicular to the direction of tensile drawing, thus leading to the phenomenon of anisotropic wetting. The proposed approach for structural surface modification makes it possible to use the advantages of surface instability and spontaneous self‐organization of the polymer towards the development of a unique surface microrelief. © 2020 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

从提高流屑角突变模型的预测精度出发,建立了切削状态参数与3个切削控制参数之间关系的新经验公式。提出了一种通过迭代法准确设定有限元仿真软件刀-屑摩擦因数的方法,并通过直角切削Al6061-T6工件的有限元仿真试验,获得了一组不同切削控制参数组合条件下的切削状态参数数据。根据该数据拟合出剪切角φ、刀-屑摩擦角β、剪切应力τs关于刀具前角γ0、进给量f和切削速度v的经验公式,并通过一组直角切削试验,验证了所得经验公式的有效性。将新建经验公式应用于流屑角突变建模过程后,所得模型关于突变临界切削宽度的平均预测误差减小了27.2%。  相似文献

The effect of Reynolds number and boundary layer thickness on the performance of V-cone flowmeter has been evaluated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The shear stress transport k-ω (SST k-ω) turbulence model has been adopted for closure. The performance of two V-cone flowmeters with different beta ratios (β) viz., 0.6 and 0.7 for a fixed vertex angle (ϕ) of 60° has been analysed as a function of Reynolds number (Re). The results show that the coefficient of discharge (Cd) increases with Reynolds number in the laminar and transition flow regimes whereas it is nearly constant in turbulent flow regime. From the results, it can be concluded that Cd is independent of Re for values equal to 4000 and beyond. Further, it is also seen that the performance of the V-cone flowmeter is not affected by the upstream boundary layer thickness if the velocity profiles having different boundary layer thickness are extracted from an axial distance of 10D and more are fed at 5D upstream of the meter. However, the meter is sensitive to the extracted velocity profile from an axial distance of 5D and uniform velocity profile being fed at 5D upstream. The value of Cd may be sensitive as a result of the pressure variation due to the obstruction.  相似文献

复合固体推进剂含有固体颗粒较多,离散单元法是一种适合固体推进剂生产过程数值仿真的有效方法,颗粒物料的接触参数是保证离散单元法仿真精度的关键。本文以复合固体推进剂的主要组分铝粉和高氯酸铵固体颗粒为研究对象,通过实验测试获得了相关物料的安息角,利用专业离散元软件EDEM仿真模拟了安息角测试实验过程,建立了物料安息角与接触参数之间的联系。研究表明,滚动摩擦系数和滑动摩擦系数越大,安息角越大,物料流动性越差。对比仿真与实验结果,通过逆向反推法确定了物料的滑动摩擦系数和滚动摩擦系数两个关键接触参数。铝粉与高氯酸铵1∶2混合颗粒的滑动摩擦系数为0.2,滚动摩擦系数为0.05。为固体推进剂加工生产过程离散元数值仿真提供了关键基础数据。  相似文献

利用ABAQUS有限元仿真软件研究不同喷射角度强化研磨加工GCr15轴承钢板过程的塑性变形,得到不同喷射角度与等效塑性应变沿真实路径距离的关系,并通过拉伸试验进行验证。喷射角度为90°的强化研磨加工伸长率为1.4%,相比未经过强化研磨加工的伸长率数值缩减了2.0%。断口收缩率由空白组的4.9%降低到喷射角为90°的2.2%。结合仿真和试验可知,强化研磨加工中喷射角度越大,塑性变形能力越低,材料加工越难。  相似文献

The unitized regenerative fuel cell (URFC) system has attracted significant attention and interests because of its round-trip energy conversion with high energy density. However, the identification of low-cost bipolar (BP) plate with higher corrosion resistance is required to produce a sustainable system. In this work, we investigated the possibilities of using cost-effective lead (Pb) metal-based plate as a BP plate material for URFC system. To further enhance the advantageous properties of Pb plate, silver (Ag) was coated onto the Pb plate. Different types of structural and microstructural analyses (XRD, XPS, SEM, EDAX, and mapping) were conducted to characterize the properties of Pb-based plate and the presence of Ag-coated layer on the surface of Pb plate. When compared with the Pb plate, the Ag-coated Pb plate exhibited a higher water contact angle. The obtained water contact angles of Pb and Ag-coated Pb plates were 77.83° and 92.21°, respectively. The obtained water contact angle of the Ag-coated Pb plate is quite acceptable in the URFC system because it offers exceptional advantages during the URFC operation. Furthermore, the interaction between Pb plate and Ag coated layer resulted in an efficient electrochemical performance. Based on these results, we could conclude that the Pb-based BP plate can be possibly considered for the URFC applications.  相似文献

SiC-SiOx nanowires (NWs) with core-shell and chain-bead structures were synthesized via a catalyst-free chemical vapor deposition (CVD) route without Ar gas, using silicon and coal tar pitch powders as raw materials. The SiC-SiOx NWs with sharp tips formed by solid-vapor between Si (s) and CO (g) or C (s) and SiO (g), liquid-vapor between Si (l) and CO (g), and vapor-vapor between SiO (g) and CO (g) growth process along the [111] direction. The NWs were several millimeters in length, and the average diameters of the chains and beads were 40–90 nm and 325 nm, respectively. The obtained NWs had good blue-green photoluminescence property owing to the stacking faults and amorphous SiOx. This novel CVD route is simple, low cost and suitable for large-scale production.  相似文献

In this paper, the observer design problem for the sideslip angle of ground vehicles is investigated. The sideslip angle is an important signal for the vehicle lateral stability, which is not measurable by using an affordable physical sensor. Therefore, we aim to estimate the sideslip angle with the yaw rate measurements by employing the vehicle dynamics. The nonlinear lateral dynamics is modeled firstly. As the tyre model is nonlinear and the road adhesive coefficient is subject to a large variation, the nonlinear lateral dynamics is transformed into an uncertain model. Considering the variation of longitudinal velocity, an uncertain linear-parameter-varying (LPV) system is obtained. Based on the LPV model, a gain-scheduling observer is proposed and the observer gain can be determined with off-line computation and on-line computation. The off-line computation includes the calculation of a set of linear matrix inequalities and the on-line computation contains several algebraic operations. The proposed design methodology is applied to a four-wheel-independent-drive electric vehicle in simulation. It infers from different maneuvers that the designed observer has a good performance on estimating the sideslip angle.  相似文献
